Polybags are harmful to the environment. The government of our country decided to ban the manufacturing and the use of plastic bags in 2002. Unfortunately, these are once again being widely used all over the world. We not only use a large number of polybags on a daily basis, but we also throw away them in our drains, oblivious to the fact that they will obstruct the flow of drain water. Polybags pose a threat to the environment as well. They pollute the environment, obliterate wildlife, and deplete biodiversity. They are one of the most noticeable elements in the landscape. If they are burned, toxic fumes will be released into the atmosphere.
yesterday High School arranged a campaign to create awareness among the common people about the hazards of using plastic bags. The session began with our Principal’s inspiring and educational presentation. Many members of society’s elite had gathered to show their strong support for the program. The Chief Guest, Mr. BIKASH also educated the students on the disadvantages of using poly-bags. People should use cloth, paper, and jute bags instead of plastic ones, according to him. He admitted that the legislation wouldn’t be able to do anything about it and that the prohibition would have to come from within. The people then took an oath not to use poly-bags, He opted to tell their substitutes instead of agreeing with the Principal about the dangers of plastic bags.
About 300 students joined the camping and all the teachers enthusiastically took part in it. The students displayed many banners bearing slogans in various parts of the city. All the students are divided into two parts and visited every house in our locality to make people aware of the hazards of using plastic bags. They also went to the local shops and trIed to make understand the shopkeepers how plastic are destroying our environment and ecosystem .many of them took a promise not to use plastic bag further in future. The volunteers and organizers were given thanks for conducting the program. The students who participated were honored with certificates from the NSS group of the school. After this, the program was concluded with an inspiring speech of the school”s headmaster at about 5 p.m.

Disaster education is aimed to equip groups and individuals with the awareness they need to eliminate or minimize their disaster risks. Because of the massive impacts, it has felt over the past few years as a result of earthquakes, landslides, and floods, there is an increased need for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) education in the school sector.

A program on disaster management was held at ABC School, Dinhata, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society. The workshop brought more than 100 teachers and 250 students from different schools. The S.D.O was present as the chief guest. There were many guests too. The main speaker was Mr. Biswas, the secretary of DISASTER MANAGEMENT. He cited data from the World Disaster Report to identify areas in this state that are more vulnerable to earthquakes. He also discussed the precautions that the public and government should take in the event of an emergency. A digital media presentation on the earthquakes and tsunamis aftermath in various countries, including India, was included in the session. Civil Defense’s Mr. Karim was the other expert on hand. He emphasized the problems of rehabilitation and relief work in his capacity assessment. A mock evacuation drill was also held by volunteers from the organizer school’s NCC team.
The drill was held to test the school’s readiness to deal with any emergency that may arise during a natural disaster, as well as to educate students and staff about firefighting rescue operations and procedures. These practice drills aid in meeting challenges in difficult situations and dealing with the aftermath of natural and man-made disasters. After this, the program was concluded with an inspiring speech of the school”s headmaster at about 5 p.m.

Kanyashree Prakalpa is a West Bengal government project aimed at improving the lives and status of girls by providing financial assistance to economically disadvantaged households so that their daughters are not married before the age of eighteen due to financial constraints. The goal of this effort is to help girls from low-income homes who are unable to pursue higher education owing to financial constraints. The Department of Worldwide Development of the United Kingdom and UNICEF have given it international recognition.
Every year on August 14th, the West Bengal government commemorates Kanyashree Day. This event took place on the school grounds. The school’s grounds were tastefully furnished. The female pupils took an active part in the program. The program was presided over by our revered headmaster. At 10 a.m., the program began with an introductory song and a motivating statement from the hm. A student of class X sang the inaugural song
‘Amara korbo joy ekdin .A chorus song on this Prakalpa was performed by some female students from class IX. After then, some female students gave a speech about Kanyashree Prakalpa and how it has benefited them. Some students delivered poetry about the girls and the scholarship’s impact on them. The ‘Kanyashree Prakalpa’ was discussed by teachers. They said, how it has prevented kids from dropping out of school, and how this Prakalpa aids female students in pursuing higher education.
Mr……, the S.D.O of …….., was the chief guest. He said, “Its purpose is to make the growth of poor female pupils a priority .”The program’s president presented the top three competitors with beautiful gifts. The headmaster’s concluding remark brought the program to a close.
This program was extremely motivating. I am very happy to be a part of this program.
