The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is the most serious global health security threat in decades. More than 200,000 cases of COVID-19 have been reported to WHO, with over 8000 people dying as a result. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by the outbreak. And we are grateful to the thousands of healthcare workers who are helping their communities on the front lines.
The novel corona viral illness 2019 (COVID-19) poses a serious and immediate threat to world health, and its impact is predicted to worsen in middle- and low-income nations with poor and frail health systems. One of the potential interventions in these nations is timely access to reliable information and public understanding of preventative approaches. It is vital to determine the amount of public awareness about illness prevention in order to limit the pandemic.
On the 5th of February, 2021, a covid-19 awareness program was held on our school grounds. It was held to raise awareness among students, guardians, and residents of Pendamic, Covid-19. The school administration had decided to organize the program at a meeting. A notice was issued in the school notice board to invite the neighbors of the school
We purchased sanitizers, soaps, hand washes, and masks; printed leaflets; and rented microphones, chairs, and other equipment. We obtained permission from the Health Department.
We also invited a well-known doctor, Sri Ranjan DAS, and a local MLA, Mr…… At 11:30 a.m., a chorus of students from classes V and VI began the program in the presence of the chief guest and others. Mr … adorned the chair of the chief guest. Students from various classes performed poems, songs, and took part in a quiz and drama about protecting Corona.
Then, our chief guest, Sri ………. discussed in detail how to avoid and take precautions against the virus, Covid-19, and the problems – sufferings of the people as a result of the virus’s spread, despite the kind assistance provided by the government. Even the Health Officer of……. District, Sri……… gave a valuable speech with a video presentation on the importance of wearing musks, using sanitizers, frequently washing hands, and maintaining a physical distance of at least 6 feet for the safety of our country.
Our Headmaster, Sri…….. displayed the government notices on the pandemic and informed everyone of the Helpline number for immediate action. The school administration distributed masks, sanitizers, hand washes, soaps, and leaflets to students and some low-income families.
Sri……, the school’s game teacher, would remind us of the program’s values and the importance of the corona awareness program. At last, the Headmaster thanked everyone and declared the program to be over.
